Welkom bij de Dutch Cadet Class Association

De Dutch Cadet Class Association is de officiële Nederlandse klasseorganisatie van de Cadet. De Cadet is de tweemans jeugdzeilboot (7-17 jaar) bij uitstek (zie ook Cadet Geschiedenis). Het is een complete boot, uitgerust met grootzeil, fok en spinnaker en eenvoudig te vervoeren. Bovendien is de Cadet een internationaal, door de ISAF, erkende zeilwedstrijdklasse voor de jeugd. De Cadet biedt een goed alternatief voor de eenmansboten zoals de Optimist. De stuurlieden zijn meestal wat ouder dan de bemanning en leiden deze ook mede op. Nieuw Cadet-jaar Het nieuwe Cadet-jaar ligt alweer aardig op koers. Het weer valt tot nu toe niet tegen voor de zeilers. Aangename temperaturen en een prettig trainingswindje.
